Program Manager, Minnesota Avenue Main Street (MAMS)

Samantha Archibald serves as Program Manager of the Minnesota Avenue Main Street (MAMS) initiative for the Washington Area Community Investment Fund. Ms. Archibald is responsible for guiding the organization’s objectives which include the development, conduct, execution, and coordination of all Main Street program activities and volunteers, as well as representing the community regionally and nationally.

Samantha is passionate about strategic planning and urban revitalization with a people-first, place-based approach. Over the past 14 years, she has gained deep experience and leadership in community, economic development, and program management in the public sector. Samantha’s experience includes city planning; project management; quantitative and qualitative research and analysis in economic development strategies; commercial revitalization; housing rehabilitation, sustainable development; stakeholder engagement; and successful proposal writing of state, federal, state, foundation grants, and bonds.

She is a member of the American Planning Association (APA) and a Certified Planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). She is also a certified Charette Manager with the National Charrette Institute.

She holds a Bachelors in Community and Regional Planning from Iowa State University and a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning with focus on economic development, from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
