Lyals Battle

Program Manager

Lyals Battle is the Program Manager for Wacif’s Small Business Programs, where he provides management of different grant programs, one-on-one counseling, and technical assistance to small businesses in the Greater Washington Metropolitan area.

Mr. Battle has over seventeen years of small business consulting experience; including three years as a small business owner, three years as a Sr. Business Consultant at the D.C. Branch of the Minority Business Development Agency, and four years as the Program Manager of the Small Business Technical Center at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition.  Lyals provided classroom instruction, as well as, business and financial counseling services.  In 2019, he concentrated a portion of his time on businesses in Wards 5, 7 and 8 in Washington, D.C..

He has been a board member of the Ward Seven Business Partnership (W7BP) since September 2018.

Mr. Battle earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Howard University after completing his undergraduate studies in Film, Media, and Communications, also at Howard University. Lyals completed is a trained facilitator of the Kaufman FastTrac Growth curriculum and has completed a basic course in Program Management at Howard County Community College.
