Wacif Leadership Selected for Leadership Greater Washington and Leadership Montgomery Cohorts for 2021

Wacif CEO Harold Pettigrew, Director of Development & Communications Brendon Miller, and Board Member Matt Glatting were selected to participate in executive leadership programs, deepening regional strategic relationships and impact

Washington, DC (October 01, 2020) — The Washington Area Community Investment Fund (Wacif) is proud to announce that members of its executive leadership, Harold Pettigrew, CEO; Matt Glatting, Board Member, and Brendon Miller, Director of Communications & Development, have been selected to join Leadership Greater Washington (LGW) and Leadership Montgomery (LM), respectively.

Harold and Matt joins Leadership Greater Washington’s Class of 2021 cohort accelerating community progress across the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. Approximately 60 leaders will participate in LGW’s Signature Program, a 10-month experience that allows participants to share and gain expertise on critical topics impacting the communities they serve. With nearly 20 years of experience working in economic development, and strong leadership advancing Wacif’s mission of equity and opportunity, Harold will be a beneficial contributor to the cohort. Matt Glatting, Executive Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations at Housing Partnership Equity Trust, and Wacif Board Member, will also represent strategic leadership values as a member of the Class of 2021. With over a decade of financial and investment management experience, Matt brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the newest cohort.

In Montgomery County, Maryland, Brendon joins 57 public, private, and nonprofit leaders in Leadership Montgomery’s 2021 CORE Program. LM is the county’s flagship initiative, intended to cultivate a strong network of seasoned leaders and decision-makers through a 10-month program that provides participants with the opportunity to further their understanding of local issues, while working collectively to elevate Montgomery County  Brendon brings more than 15 years of  leadership experience in the public and private sector, with an expertise in designing and implementing integrated development and communications plans.

Wacif is honored to have three of our leaders championing our vision of inclusion and equity across the Greater Washington region. The Leadership Greater Washington and Leadership Montgomery networks leverage the expertise of their participants to focus and solve pressing issues hindering the advancement of the communities they serve. Together, the two programs will bring a collective of experienced stakeholders to exchange and obtain resources, knowledge, and connections.
