Introducing the Inaugural Fusion Festival: A Celebration of Innovation and Community in the DMV
Washington, D.C. – On October 19, 2024, the Anacostia Arts Center (powered by Wacif) will host the inaugural Fusion Festival, bringing together a diverse group of leaders and innovators from the DMV region. The event will highlight forward-thinking ideas, recognize community leaders, and foster conversations on growth and change—all in the heart of Anacostia.
Fusion Festival is designed to break silos, unite entrepreneurs, community leaders, and trendsetters under one roof, offering a dynamic platform for the exchange of ideas, skillsharing, and cultural cohesion. Attendees will experience a full day of carefully curated programming, including interactive experiences, workshops, and panel discussions, all focused on fostering creativity, innovation, and meaningful connections.
Program Highlights
The festival will feature several key programming tracks that include Tech and Innovation, Arts and Culture and Strategic Planning. Programmatic partners include the Far Southeast Collaborative, DC Start Up Week, Georgetown’s Communications, Culture and Technology Program, DSLBD, and the Social Arts and Culture.
Sessions include a fireside chat featuring Wacif CEO Shannan Herbert, a hands on Podcast Lab experience for creatives and small businesses, and a networking happy hour.
