Junell Venord is the Human Capital Manger for the Washington Area Community Investment Fund (Wacif) where she leads all human resources (HR) related functions. She is a performance-driven HR professional with over 11 years of experience in comprehensive HR services. She serves as HR partner, providing consultative guidance, coaching and support to management and staff regarding talent acquisition/retention, performance management, compensation, benefits, employee relations issues, employment law, organizational policies and procedures, and organizational growth strategies. She is known for delivering outstanding and meaningful results ensuring the success of strategic and day-to-day organizational goals.
Junell has a Master’s degree in International Human Resource Management from Georgetown University and a liberal arts Bachelor’s degree from Drew University. She previously worked in the not-for-profit sector for a federal credit union, as well as other the legal, education, and retail industries.
