As you prepare to submit inquiries to see if you are eligible for a small business loan at Wacif, we understand you may have some questions. We have addressed some of the frequently asked questions for your convenience.
Q: Who can apply for a loan at Wacif?
A: We welcome loan inquiries from entrepreneurs in the Washington, DC region. We work with business owners in the District of Columbia, Maryland (Prince George’s County and Montgomery County), and Northern Virginia (Arlington County, Fairfax County, City of Alexandria, and the City of Fairfax).
Q: Can I speak with someone if I have questions?
A: Yes! You will have access to the advisory services team to help you prepare for your loan application or answer any questions. You can schedule an appointment with someone here. If your loan is approved, you will be assigned to a dedicated loan officer to help you navigate the loan process. If your loan application is rejected, we will connect you with our advisory services team to guide you through alternative resources.
Q: Will the transition to the new loan management portal affect my current application status?
A: All open applications must be submitted before October 1. After October 1, you will need to redo and submit your application through our new loan portal.
Q: Will I need to create a new account in the new loan management portal?
A: Yes. When you click the 'Apply Now' button, you will be taken to our Inquiry Form. Once you complete the first page of the Inquiry Form and hit ‘Next’, you will be asked to create an account in our new loan management portal to continue the process. Your account will be secure and protected.
Q: Will the application process change with the new portal?
A: Yes, we have designed a simplified, faster application process. Our team understands the value of your time and is committed to making the process as easy as possible for you. Q: Is there an application fee?
A: There is no upfront application cost, but there is a $50 application fee you are required to pay upon acceptance of the loan we offer.
