Ascend

Empowering Underinvested Entrepreneurs with Lasting Results

Ascend is more than a program—it’s a launchpad for underinvested entrepreneurs. Through hands-on learning, mentorship, and a supportive network, we help small business owners build resilience, unlock growth opportunities, and create lasting impact in their communities.

Overview

Since 2017, Ascend has helped underinvested entrepreneurs turn ambition into a plan, and a plan into results. Each participant gets more than a workshop series. They get a growth plan built around their specific business, one on one time with WACIF advisors who know their industry and their numbers, and a small cohort of peers who understand exactly what they’re building and why it matters.

Ascend exists because too many entrepreneurs who are positioned for growth fall through the cracks between the resources built for startups and the capital and coaching their businesses actually need. We built Ascend to close that gap, one entrepreneur at a time.

How we serve Ascend Participants

  • Building the confidence to lead boldly

  • Turning the knowledge into know-how

  • Fueling growth without the financial strain

  • Earning loyal customers who become your best advocates

  • Protecting what you’ve worked so hard to build

  • Growing a business that lasts

Ascend

As an Ascend participant, you’ll spend eight weeks building the skills and strategy your business needs to grow, alongside a small cohort of entrepreneurs on the same journey. You’ll leave each session with something practical to apply immediately, and by the end, you’ll walk away with a 12-month growth plan built specifically for your business, plus the ongoing support to help you carry it out. This isn’t a one-and-done workshop. It’s a year of accountability, connection, and forward motion.
