Lending Operations Manager

Abdul Wahid Kohgadai serves as the Lending Operations Manager at the Washington Area Community Investment Fund (WACIF). With over twenty years of experience in banking, lending, and business development in the United States and internationally, Abdul provides operational leadership for WACIF’s loan servicing, portfolio management, and lending systems.

Throughout his career, Abdul has worked with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), USAID-funded development projects, nonprofit financial institutions, and commercial banks. His expertise spans the full lending lifecycle, including loan origination, underwriting, servicing, and portfolio management. He has successfully managed loan portfolios exceeding $50 million and has played a key role in strengthening operational efficiency and credit quality across diverse loan programs.
In recognition of his outstanding performance, Abdul received a Certificate of Appreciation from the U.S. Small Business Administration and Martek Global Services Inc in 2021. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Kardan University.

Abdul is fluent in English, Dari (native), Persian, Pashto, and Urdu, enabling him to effectively serve Wacif’s diverse community of entrepreneurs and small business owners.
