Wacif client named Small Business of the Year
Washington, D.C. (April 1, 2014)—Co-owners of Nspiregreen, Chanceé Lundy (L) and Veronica Davis (R) address the crowd Small business owners and Wacif client, Chanceé Lundy and Veronica Davis were honored at the 4th Annual Great Streets Honors. For their local success and dedication to the community the co-owners were presented with the award for “Small Business Women of the Year”. Veronica and Chanceé, are the founders and owners of Nspiregreen, LLC, a consulting firm that assists businesses, governments and nonprofits in developing sustainability goals. They found early traction for their work, but by 2011, Veronica and Chanceé were out of funds, denied by traditional banks, and faced with a confounding dilemma: keep pressing on, inspired by secured contracts, or dust off their resumes and start moving in a different direction? They were introduced to Wacif and began to turn their company around. Through ongoing business counseling and lending Nspiregreen was able to not only stabilize their business but gain contracts and grow from 2 to 5 employees! Moving forward, Veronica and Chanceé hope to see their business grow–not only financially, but also in the types of projects that they maintain. We look forward to seeing these two bright and hardworking business owners grow into the future.
