Wacif borrower invited to speak to US Senate
Washington, D.C. (October 1, 2014)—Veronica O. Davis spoke to members of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship in July during a hearing on “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: Understanding Successes, Addressing Persistent Challenges, and Identifying New Opportunities”. Veronica, of Nspiregreen LLC, spoke about her and co-owner Chanceé Lundy’s experience finding the necessary capital to expand their business. Wacif provided Nspiregreen with a SBA Micro Loan as well as a line of credit and continued business counseling with our Technical Assistance Officers, allowing them to grow their business and hire 3 new employees. Veronica describes that “despite our challenged financial position, they saw our vision was clear and our faith was unshakable. They gave us a $25,000 micro-loan and a line of credit. It was the boost we needed to keep going.” To watch the US Senate hearing in it’s entirety you can visit the Senate Committee website at www.sbc.senate.gov or visit Wacif’s FaceBook page to see the highlights including Veronica’s testimony.
