Wacif and Global Empowerment Solutions Partner to Launch “The Holiday Hustle” for Local Entrepreneurs
Innovative program will train entrepreneurs on how best to manage their “Holiday Hustle”
Washington, D.C. (February 26, 2018) – The Washington Area Community Investment Fund (Wacif) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Global Empowerment Solutions (GES) to offer, “The Holiday Hustle: Workroom & Showroom” program through the Minnesota Avenue Main Street, a Downtown Ward 7 initiative.
The Holiday Hustle: Workroom & Showroom is a program designed for entrepreneur hustlers and conscientious shoppers alike. In “The Workroom”, entrepreneur hustlers learn how to turn their creative passion into a profitable enterprise. In “The Showroom”, shoppers are given the opportunity to buy directly from entrepreneur hustlers who make or source their items including jewelry, clothing, body products and other unique finds.
“Innovative partnerships and programs are key to expanding opportunities for entrepreneurs,” said Harold Pettigrew, Wacif Executive Director. “We are excited to partner with GES to bring their signature programming to the Minnesota Avenue Main Street to help the small business owners and entrepreneurs along Minnesota Avenue NE and the surrounding community.”
Many entrepreneur hustlers who are driven by their creative passions are activated during holidays and special occasions such as the upcoming Spring, including Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, graduations, and the beginning of wedding season. The Holiday Hustle: Workroom & Showroom which will be hosted on Minnesota Avenue NE will help creative entrepreneurs prepare for these holidays and events through greater access to business development training and capital.
