Linnea has always enjoyed creating something new. At the University of Florida, she received the Presidential Service Award and Champions for Change Award for her role as co-founder and Executive Director of a community service conference and grant-writing competition, Assembly for Action. Linnea also pursued government internships at the local, state, and federal levels related to law, trade, and development. Prior to her internship with the U.S. Trade and Development Agency, she launched a “Reverse Field Trip” program with the Florida Supreme Court to provide civics lessons to local Title 1 schools. During her senior year, Linnea worked as a Teaching Assistant for a sustainable business consulting class that helped small businesses meet B Corp certification requirements. At the same time, she wrote her honors thesis on the relationship between China’s Belt and Road Initiative investments and human rights votes in the United Nations by its recipients. Linnea is excited to continue learning about development finance and operations management.
