Janice joined Wacif in 2014. She was previously a Program Manager for the State of Maryland’s Office for Refugees and Asylees (MORA), which administers grants and contracts to state and local entities that provide services to refugees, asylees and trafficking victims in Maryland. Janice holds a graduate degree in international relations from the University of California, San Diego, with an emphasis on public policy and received her Bachelor’s degree from George Washington University with a major in Asian Studies and a minor in economics. Currently she is pursuing a second Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Maryland. Janice studied at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan and in 2006 and 2007, traveled to northern Uganda to evaluate development projects. While in Uganda, she was the Director of the Safety In Learning project which built a school on the Uganda/South Sudan border.
